Introducing the Cape Cod Resilience Fund

The Cape Cod Resilience Fund will provide direct grants to small business owners on Cape Cod to offer relief from economic damage caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Virtually overnight, many small businesses on Cape Cod have been devastated by the unforeseen and unprecedented impact of this global pandemic. While necessary, strict mandates for business operations during the public health crisis, coupled with an uncertain outlook for the future and limited availability of government funding, have taken the wind out of these businesses’ sails. With the Cape’s high season on the horizon, the timing couldn’t be worse.

Small businesses are the cornerstone, the backbone, the heartbeat of any vibrant community and Cape Cod is no exception – the long-term economic sustainability of our region is tied to the fate of our small businesses.

Organized by Love Live Local and the Hyannis Main Street BID, the Cape Cod Resilience Fund will issue one-time grants of $500 to $2,000 to eligible Cape Cod small businesses with 1-20 full-time year-round employees to supplement day-to-day operational expenses such as rent, staff, supplies, inventory, marketing and training. Preference will be given to year-round, community minded, brick and mortar businesses located in a downtown area. The more money we raise, the more businesses we can help. Look for the initial round of applications to open in early June 2020.
