First Fridays kicks off June 2nd on Hyannis Main Street

HYANNIS, MA- First Fridays is coming to Hyannis Main Street! This new, monthly event kicks off on Friday, June 2nd, from 5-8 pm with historic Main Street celebrating all things that make downtowns so special. Get to know your merchants as you Sip & Shop, enjoy live music on the street, shop the farmer’s market. Take this opportunity to meet local artists, play pickleball and other games at “The Square”, grab a craft beer along our Hops trail, and enjoy a trolley ride along the street. Mark your calendar and plan to be a part of an atmosphere that is celebrating all things local.

Sip & Shop along the street at participating shops and get to know your merchants! Purchase a passport for a nominal fee, meet some friends and enjoy a cocktail or mocktail as you shop the many wonderful establishments along Hyannis Main Street.

The 500 Block corner (“the Square”) will be transformed to a hub of activity, with pickleball coordinated by Barnstable Pickleball; games hosted by Shipyard Boulders; pop-up farmer’s market; beer garden; and music by DJ Ian Lee.

Hyannis Main Street has new (and current) beer gardens that will be a part of the Hyannis Hops Trail. Purchase a craft beer and get your passport stamped. Fill your passport (not in one day, of course!) and collect a prize!

Local musicians will be performing along the street, including the well-loved Fred Clayton Band. Mass Development’s Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) will host spotlight events, including the debut of an art wall behind the JFK Hyannis Museum, and a Hyannis Film Festival pop-up event.

First Fridays will take place on the first Friday of each month from 5-8 pm, through December. For more information, including Sip & Shop tickets and pickleball registration visit our First Fridays page.

First Fridays is made possible through generous support from our sponsors, Mass Development’s Transformative Development Initiative (TDI), the Cape Cod Melody Tent, Williams Street Corp., and the Town of Barnstable.
